  • Is the resort all Inclusive?

    The resort is not all-inclusive. Rates are for rooms only and do not include food and beverage.

  • What are the on-property activities?

    Non-Motorized Watersports: As part of the resort fee, guests have access to water toys such as paddleboards, snorkeling gear, kayaks and ocean floats.

    Private cabanas: Dine, drink and enjoy endless fun in your own private cabana.

    Fitness Center: As part of the resort fee, guests have access to the fitness center that is open 24 hours daily featuring equipment by TechnoGym. The fitness center for registered guests who are 16 years of age and older. Personal training sessions can be arranged in advance and are charged a la carte.

    Entertainment: Since our offerings are changing based on seasons and occupancy, inquire about the weekly entertainment schedule at check-in or on your in-suite TV.  Activities include cornhole and chess tournaments, live DJ sets at Amara beach bar, classical favorites played by a local pianist at Atria, movie nights under the stars, and much more.

  • Do you have a fitness center? What are the hours? Applicable fees associated?

    The fitness center is open 24 hours daily. The fitness center is complimentary to registered guests who are 16 years of age and older. Personal training sessions are charged a la carte. Our fitness center features a variety of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment by Technogym.

  • Are there any pool restrictions I should be made aware of?

    Guests are asked to wear or display their Goldwynn ID bracelet. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Food or drinks are not allowed in the pools. Individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited. Management reserves the right to limit pool use.

  • What are your pool hours of operation?

    The pool is open Sunrise to Sunset, daily, weather permitting.

  • Is there an ATM at the resort?

    An ATM located in Atria, near the Sundries Store, dispenses USD.

  • Will my cell phone work at the resort?

    Yes, we recommend contacting your cell phone company prior to leaving for the Bahamas to inquire about rates that may apply while traveling and international calling plans to avoid excessive charges.

  • Is WiFi available? Is there a cost?

    WiFi is included in the resort fee. Up to 6 devices permitted per suite.

  • Is there pool and room service?

    Pool service is available from Amara from 11am to sunset daily.
    Room service offers a limited menu available 7:00am-10:30pm daily.

Resort Policies

  • Are there age restrictions at the resort?

    • To make a reservation and check in, the minimum age is 18 years old.
    • In accordance with Bahamian law, the permissible age to consume alcohol is 18 years old.
    • One person staying in each suite must be at least 18 years old and present a valid credit card and government issued ID.
    • To visit the fitness center without an adult, guests must be 16 years old.
    • To visit the pool/beach without and adult, guests must be 16 years old.
  • Is there a minimum night stay?

    Minimum stay requirements vary throughout the year and are viewable on our rate calendar.

  • How much is the daily resort fee and what does it include?

    The Resort Fee is $85 [+VAT] per suite, per night.

  • What are the taxes and service charges?

  • Are pets allowed?

    Goldwynn Resort & Residences welcomes canine service animals only.  A permit from the Department of Agriculture is required for your service animal’s entrance into The Bahamas.

    Guests traveling with their service animal are required to inform the hotel at least three days in advance of arrival.

    To register a service animal with your accommodations, call Reservations for details at 877-553-9966 or 242-698-9966.  We provide complimentary pet amenities including food/water bowls, bed and treats. There is a mandatory, non-refundable cleaning fee of $300 charged per stay.   Please refer to terms & conditions for more details.

  • What are your parking fees?

    Parking is complimentary for registered guests.

    EV charging is available at no cost for resort guests, subject to availability.

  • What is your deposit policy?

    When booking your reservation directly, a two-night deposit + taxes, levies, service charges and resort fee is required to confirm your reservation, payable by Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. The cardholder must be 18 years or older and must show valid government ID at check-in.

    For bookings over the Festive period (Dec 22, 2024-Jan 1, 2025, and Dec 21, 2024- Jan 1, 2025), a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance due 90 days prior to arrival.  If reserving the Festive period within 90 days of arrival, full payment is due at time of booking.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Should you need to cancel 14 days or less prior to arrival, your deposit will be retained as the cancellation penalty.
    For the Festive period (Dec 22, 2024-Jan 1, 2025, and Dec 21, 2024- Jan 1, 2025), 100% penalty will apply for any cancellation within 90 days of arrival.

  • If I cancel my reservation, am I able to have my funds returned or would it be used as a credit for future stays?

  • Can I charge other resort offerings to my suite?

    Yes, as a registered guest you will have the option to charge all food and beverage and amenity purchases back to your suite with your Goldwynn ID bracelet.

Studios & Suites

  • Can ground level accommodations be reserved for medical reasons?

    There is one wheelchair accessible accommodation. If you are interested in booking this ADA compliant suite, please contact Reservations so we can verify availability and secure the suite in advance.

  • May I make a specific suite request?

    We will do our best to honor requests (such as floor number, location near elevator, etc.) but cannot guarantee availability.

  • Are connecting rooms available?

    While we do not have connecting rooms, our team will make every effort to assign rooms in proximity when multiple rooms are booked.  There may be limitations based on the room categories selected.  For detailed information and assistance please contact our reservations team at 877-553-9966.

  • What time is check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in at Goldwynn Resort & Residences is 4pm and check-out is at 11am.
    For early arrivals or late departures, luggage and large items may be stored with the bellman prior to check-in or after check-out.
    Private shower and changing facilities are available at our fitness fenter on a complimentary basis.
    If your accommodation is ready before 4pm, it’s our pleasure to check you in sooner.

  • How do I request an early check-in or late check-out?

    The Front Desk staff can assist with requests for early check-in or late check-out. If you are departing after 11am, please let us know 24 hours in advance. Late check-out is subject to availability.

  • What are the in-suite amenities?

    All suites include the features below:

  • What is the guest occupancy policy? How many people can I fit in my suite? Are there sofa beds and/or roll-away beds available?

    Accommodation occupancies are based on single or double occupancy per bedroom. All persons in the room, regardless of age, count toward the maximum occupancies by category.  Occupancy is based on existing bedding including a queen-sized sofa-sleeper in most accommodations.

    Note: Children’s ages are 11 and under. Ages 12-17 are considered Juniors and a nightly charge of $60 per junior, per night is applicable.  All persons, including children and juniors count toward maximum occupancies.

    The Resort has a very limited supply of roll-aways, which are available upon request (not guaranteed).  *Due to the size and configuration of golf view and ocean front studios, roll-aways are not permitted.

  • Are cribs available?

    The Resort has a very limited supply of cribs which are available upon request (not guaranteed).

  • Can I request specific bed types?

    The resort’s primary bed size is King.  In most two-bedroom suites, the 2nd bedroom features one Queen size bed.  There are no double beds available.

  • Do I need an electricity adapter?

    The resort has a voltage capacity of 110V for U.S and Canadian electric razors, hair dryers and other standard electrical equipment used in suites. All European appliances require an adapter, which can be obtained from Housekeeping.

  • Can I smoke in my suite?

    The resort is nonsmoking. A $350 cleaning charge will be charged to guests that do not comply.

  • Is there laundry service?

    Laundry and dry-cleaning services are available daily and charged a la carte. For same day service items must be turned over to Housekeeping before 10 am.

Travel

  • What are my transportation options for arriving to the property?

    Our reservations team would be happy to assist in arranging private transportation with our preferred transportation provider, Distinguished Enterprises.  You may also review vehicles, pricing and make reservations at https://ridedistinguished.com/booking/

    Alternatively, taxis are readily available at the airport.  Fares vary based on the number of persons and pieces of baggage.  One-way fares from the airport to Goldwynn Resort & Residences start at $45 for 2 people. Fares may be higher based on number of persons and pieces of luggage.

  • Distance from airport.

    The resort is 7 miles from the airport.

  • Is transportation to the resort included?

    Airport transfers are not included, but our reservations team would be happy to assist in planning with our preferred transportation provider.

    Alternatively, taxis are readily available at the airport.  Fares vary based on number of persons and pieces of baggage. One-way fares from the airport to Goldwynn Resort & Residences start at $45 for 2 people. Fares may be higher based on number of persons and pieces of luggage.

  • Where in The Bahamas are you located?

    Goldwynn Resort & Residences is located on the island of New Providence, which is the capital of The Bahamas. New Providence is 180 miles southeast of Florida, and centrally placed among the 700 unique and beautiful islands of The Bahamas.

  • How do you get from the airport to the Goldwynn Resort & Residences?

    From Lynden Pindling INTL. Airport, travel east on John F. Kennedy Drive. Turn North onto Bahamar Blvd. And East onto West Bay Street. Just past Goodman’s Bay Beach, the resort is to the left [opposite the Golf Course].

  • Do I need a car?

    When visiting Goldwynn Resort & Residences, a car rental is not required, however for convenience you may choose to rent a car. ButlerBahamas.com provides luxury vehicle rentals directly from Goldwynn Resorts & Residences.

  • What are some tips for traveling internationally?

    Both US and Bahamas Immigration Laws require all travelers to have a valid passport.

    Take the following steps to make the most of your credit card(s) while traveling to the Bahamas:

    1) Notify your issuing banks the dates you will be traveling to the Bahamas before you leave to ensure access to your funds.

    2) Check with your issuing banks to see whether your ATM or Credit card is subject to daily spending or withdrawal restrictions while abroad.

    3) Be sure you know your PIN for your debit or credit cards so you can get local currency from ATMs worldwide.

  • What is the weather like?

    The climate in The Bahamas is sub-tropical. Average temperatures range between 70-90 degrees Fahrenheit. August through October has the warmest temperatures and frequent brief rain. December through May is cooler and less humid.

    English is the official language of The Bahamas.

  • What is the Currency?

    The official currency is the Bahamian dollar, which has the same value (exchange rate) as the US Dollar.  Both currencies are widely accepted.
